GlocalShift Foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to creating jobs and opportunities for host communities, refugees, and vulnerable youth across the MENA region and Ukraine.

We empower local organisations and communities to design and lead sustainable economic solutions that strengthen livelihoods in fragile and crisis-affected areas. GlocalShift champions localisation by building trust-based partnerships, connecting actors, and ensuring that development efforts truly reflect local realities and aspirations.

Founded by a diverse team of experts from the Netherlands, the Balkans, and the Middle East with more than thirty years of combined experience, GlocalShift was created to rethink how international development works. We bridge local knowledge with global networks, linking European institutions, GCC partners, and over fifty local and regional organisations to drive inclusive growth and innovation.

Our work is grounded in the belief that lasting change begins within communities themselves. Together, we strive for a world where every young person can build a dignified and resilient future through meaningful careers and thriving local economies.
