The GlocalShift Foundation has joined the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to launch the Jobs4All Initiative under the 1001 Stars platform. The partnership marks a major step towards placing employment at the centre of economic inclusion and recovery in the Arab region.
The initiative aims to provide 7,000 young people, at least half of them women, from Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria with practical skills and pathways to dignified employment. Participants will benefit from market-relevant vocational training, business English and financial literacy, and entrepreneurship support to help them enter or create jobs in their local economies.
Implementation will be led by the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund and GlocalShift Foundation, in close collaboration with community-based organisations. The IFC will mobilise private sector partners and use innovative financing models to unlock inclusive and scalable employment opportunities.
By aligning philanthropy, private enterprise and local leadership, the Jobs4All Initiative introduces a new model of collaboration that transforms traditional aid into long-term economic empowerment. It reflects a growing global consensus that sustainable livelihoods are the cornerstone of social stability and resilience.
“This initiative represents a major step towards building sustainable and dignified livelihoods across the region,” said Yannick Du Pont, Chief Executive Officer of the GlocalShift Foundation. “By connecting education, employability and entrepreneurship, we are investing in the resilience and potential of the next generation.”
The Jobs4All Initiative embodies the shared vision of the AGF, IFC and GlocalShift Foundation to create lasting change by empowering youth with the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to shape their own futures.
